Learning about God in the Bible

Discipleship

We are in this world but not of this world

As believers in Christ, we are now set apart, different from those that are not believers. The Bible says we are no longer from this world like Christ was not from this world; we are now born from above. I know this may sound kinda weird and hard to understand but remember the Bible is supernatural, and what happens in our lives now that we are in Christ is supernatural. Jesus spent time with those that did not believe in Him, they are called sinners in the Bible, but they did not transform or influence Him; the opposite happened; His life transformed and influenced them. The way He lived, the way He loved, and the words He spoke carried the life people longed for inside. They were drawn to Him and what He carried. You, too, can do the same thing! Granted, it will take a lot of transformation to do things just like Jesus did, but the possibility is there. The more we are transformed, the more we can live out what Jesus did.

Discipleship helps us in this journey of being set apart and not being of this world. We learn who we are in Christ and what we are capable of as believers. Discipleship consists of learning, growing, and walking out the new creation life we now have in a practical way, with others leading and guiding us through the process.
